Senior Instructor - 3rd Dan

Reece has been a member of the Chase Wado Kai Squad for several years and is an experienced competitor, in Kata in particular. He has competed across the UK as well as at tournaments further afield in Luxembourg and Switzerland as a member of the EWKR National Squad. Over the years Reece has medalled in numerous events, but a notable achievement was when he was a member of the first ever English Male Senior Kata Team in EWKR's history at the FWE European Championships in 2016, where they won a silver medal.

His experience working within sports extends beyond the dojo: Reece is a fully qualified lifeguard, swimming instructor and personal trainer. Furthermore, he is currently studying Sports, Health and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham.

Reece regularly teaches at the club, being a favourite with the younger members, and is well known for his enthusiasm and high spirit. At competitions he helps the less experienced members warm up and coaches them from off the tatami. During the Covid-19 lockdown, he co-coordinated the virtual training program with Freya.
